PURPOSE:To improve the capacity efficiency of an electrode group, by welding a rolled lead plate, an electrode pole, and the like to an electrode plate in the horizontal condition, and bending the lead plate portion. CONSTITUTION:Anode plates 1 with no lug are placed horizontally on patches 6 and 6', a lead plate 7 is welded, and furthermore, an anode pole 4 is welded to the lead plate 7. By bending the anode plates 1 and 1 through the lead plate 7 to the opposite side of the pole 4, an anode is made up. A cathode is formed in the same manner. Therefore, it is not necessary to pour the molten lead while inserting a comb-shaped jig to the lugs of the electrode plate, and the space necessary to connect the electrode plate and the electrode pole can be made minimum, resulting in an improvement of the capacity efficiency of the electrode group. |
