PURPOSE:To obtain a color printer capable of processing an image, low in cost, and high in quality, by color separating an original, reading an image, simultaneously recording the processed images on plural photoreceptors, controlling register among each photoreceptor for transfer of the images, and executing multicolor transfer. CONSTITUTION:The light projected from white light sources 105, 106 on one point on an original 103 is reflected, and separated into electric signals 110-112 of blue (B), green (G), and red (R) with optical systems and color separation filters. The signals of B, G, and R are digitized and fed to the (r) conversion circuits 113-115 of an image processing part, and converted into original density signals. A circuit 122 for deciding black printing amount decides it by selecting the max. value of the 3 R, G, B color image density signals, and the serial image signals obtained by processing the various images are sent simultaneously to laser modifiers 152-155 for recording. Photosensitive drums 168-171 are charged with chargers in advance, and latent images are formed with laser beams of the laser modifiers 152-155. The drums 168-171 are driven e.g. with 5-phase pulse motors. |
