发明名称 BEARING MECHANISM FOR TURBO CHARGER
摘要 PURPOSE:To cool a bearing part and remove worn out powders by supplying high pressure air on a compressor wheel side to the central part of a rotary shaft from the wheel side at the bearing part of the rotary shaft of a turbo charger. CONSTITUTION:When a turbo charger 1 operates, high pressure air is supplied to a high pressure chamber 11 by a compressor wheel 8. This high-pressure air flows into chambers 13 and 14 through a passage 12. The air within the chambers 13 and 14 is discharged into air passage 18 through a gap 20 between the bearing parts 16 and 17 and the inner wall surface of a bore and discharged to the open air through a hole 19. The air stream discharged into the open air through bearing parts 16 and 17 from the high pressure chamber 11 cools the bearing parts 16 and 17, in addition to floating up of the rotary shaft 9, and removes foreign matters existing within the gap 20.
