The invention relates to a bottle-filling device having numerous filling pipes, which are inserted during the filling process into the bottle until they are very close to the bottom of the bottle, so that filling starts at the bottom. The filling process is completed when the entire space enclosed by the bottle has been filled with liquid. When the filling pipe has been pulled out of a bottle, a cavity is formed between the beer and the end of the bottle neck. This cavity is of approximately the same size in the most common types of beer bottles of different heights, for example. To achieve this, it has previously been necessary, when different types of bottles are being filled, to provide, on one and the same bottle filling device, a complete set of filling pipes for each type of bottle with a predetermined height and when converting the device to take another king of bottle, to replace the set of filling pipes. The invention makes it unnecessary to replace the filling pipes by fastening a liquid displacement body (15A) in a replaceable fashion to each filling pipe (10) in order to achieve an essentially uniform cavity (21) in the bottle neck when filling has been completed and the filling pipe (10) has been pulled out, with bottles of different heights.
