The finished packs are sealed and labelled, and as they are delivered by an endless belt conveyor past filling, sealing, and labelling heads etc., all driven from a main shaft. The frame (11), containing the main shaft (15), has on its top surface (13) pairs of fixing jaws (27) in a line at regular intervals. At each of jaw an identical coupling (26) is fitted in bearings in the surface and driven via a take-off shaft (24) from the main shaft. At one end of the frame is a gearbox (19), in line with the jaws, with a horizontal shaft with coupling, onto which one end of the packet conveyor (22) fits. The latter comprises a chain running between two parallel guide rails. PS.
