The invention relates to a pipe connection element, in particular a flange mounted on a piece of pipe or a bolted joint which includes a bush-like piece of pipe. The object of the invention is to accommodate the fire safety device in such a way that no additional installation space is required and that installation and removal is simple and does not require any modifications to an existing pipe network. The invention consists in that the cylindrical housing of a fire safety valve is installed inside the piece of pipe and sealed off by means of a ring seal and that a recess for a fastening element for the cylindrical housing of the fire safety valve is arranged in the piece of pipe.
