PURPOSE:To reduce vibration and noise by determining the phase differences between the first and second hook joints and between the second and the third to specific values when the magnitude of the angle of the first hook joint is considerable, so as to lessen the revolutional fluctuation. CONSTITUTION:A propeller shaft 10 is bisected, having hook type joint 15 in the middle thereof. If an engine speed change gear 1 is placed at a relatively high position and the magnitude of the angle theta1 of the first hook joint 13 is considerable, the phase difference between the first and second joints 13 and 15 is determined by pi/2 while that between the second and third joints 15 and 16 is determined by 0. The revolutional fluctuations of the respective joints, constructed as above, are thereby cancelled each other, on account of which vibration or noise may be reduced. |
