PURPOSE:To perform safe pumping up operation, by obtaining an opening value of an inlet valve from a static head and motor voltage or system voltage and regulating an opening of the inlet valve to within a range of a lower limit value of the opening determined from said static head. CONSTITUTION:A static head HST is calculated in an inlet valve controller 10, and an inlet valve opening value IVO is calculated from this head HST and motor voltage V. When the head HST and the voltage V are decreased to a permissible value or less, an inlet valve driving mechanism 11 is driven by an output of the controller 10 in accordance with the above decrease to close an inlet valve 6, and an electric motor 1 is suppressively controlled to within a limited range then electrical equipments in a pumping-up power plant are always protected without being damaged. |
