An extraction process is described, in which material to be extracted is brought into contact with a supercritical carrier gas and in the loaded carrier gas, by changing the parameters of state, a phase separation then takes place into extract and non-loaded carrier gas. The material to be extracted is combined with the carrier gas at a pressure matched to the carrier gas pressure, force-mixed with the supercritical carrier gas in a continuous feed stream, after which the carrier gas enriched or loaded with the extract is separated off from the residue of the material to be extracted, which residue is continuously discharged from the carrier gas circulation. With the process and with the plant for carrying out the process, it is possible to subject to the extraction process the most varied types of substances, which differ considerably with regard to their composition, in one and the same plant and with extremely short changeover times. It is further possible with the process to carry out a fractional extraction so that different extracts can be specifically dissolved out from the material to be extracted. The plant operating according to the process permits specific interventions in the extraction process at many places so that it is also possible, for example, by using automatic process control, to operate the plant according to a mixed target spectrum of the various extracts. |
