The gas ring has a gas injector (1) arranged in front of a horizontal venturi (2) and a cap or pan (8) pierced with combustion orifices (6) and pilot orifices (7). It also has a pipe (4) which has a horizontal part surrounding the venturi and a vertical part that has two circuits. The exterior circuit (5) is connected to the venturi to supply a mixture of combustible gases to the combustion and pilot orifices while the interior circuit (12) is connected to a ventilator (13) that supplies a variable flow of fresh air to the space defined by the cup and the diffuser cap (35A, 35B) arranged above it.
