Device for simultaneous heating and cooling, in which the air compressed in a compressor, after passing through a heat exchanger which delivers available heat, is expanded in an expansion chamber of an expansion-piston machine, which has a small-pipe system which is acted upon with additional heat by a secondary coolant circuit, and is returned to the compressor, in which, in the expansion chamber of the expansion-piston machine, a regenerator consisting of fine-wire cloth is provided, which absorbs the residual heat contained in the compressed air flowing into the small-pipe system, stores it and delivers again the low-pressure air flowing out of the small-pipe system.
