PURPOSE:To inspect the leakage of an empty vessel utilizing the releasing state of the vacuum attracted vessel, by a method wherein, after the opening of the vessel is closed off and air is exhausted from the inside, said condition is held for a given period of time. CONSTITUTION:A block body 26, positioned facing to an opening, is inserted into a vessel 10, a packing member 28 is brought into contact with a rim 18 to seal the opening, and simultaneously, a plate 42 is brought into contact with a bottom plate 14 to pressurized and compress a spring 40. Then, after air is exhausted from the vessel for a given period of time by a pump 36 and by means of a timer 38, a valve 34 is closed. As a result, a suction force surpasses the restoring force of the spring 40, which results in bringing the vessel into a state to press it against a base 24. It is then left standing for a given period of time, and based on the given period of time, if the vessel drops from a retainer by the restoring force of the spring 40 before said period of time has elapsed, the vessel is deciced to be poor, and conversely, if it drops after the period of time has elapsed, it is decided to be an accepted one. |
