Date Jan. 21, 1982.A method of applying a coating of polyarylene sulphide to a cooking utensil in which an intimate mixture of a polyarylene sulphide with an aryl ester of an aryl alcohol is applied to the surface of the utensil and subsequently heated to evaporate the ester and cure the coating. The mixture can be a dry powder mixture, a wet powder mixture, a paste, a suspension a liquid solution or a solid solution. The preferred mixture comprises polyphenylene sulphide and benzyl benzoate. |
