PURPOSE:To provide a dipping member for molten metal baths having excellent hot corrosion resistance by coating a material contg. Wc, CrC, TiC and hot corrosion resistant metals and their oxides in a specific proportion on the surface of a base body in a specific thickness. CONSTITUTION:The surface coating layer of 0.1-2.4mm. thickness consisting of >=10% WC or 1 or >=2 kinds of CrC, TiC and the balance a hot corrosion resistant metal and its oxide or >=2 kinds thereof or inevitable impurities is formed on a base body, whereby an immersing member is obtained. The corrosion resistant layer may be constituted of 1 or >=2 kinds among WC, CrC, TiC and inevitable impurities or may be compounded with heat resistant metals such as Co, Ni, Si or their oxides. The contents of WC, CrC, TiC are required to be at least >=10% in the case of Zn and >=30% in the case of Al. |
