<p>A torque support for a drive floating upon a shaft-journal has a drive housing mounted upon the shaftjournal, link rods secured, symmetrically with respect to the axis of rotation of the shaft journal, by bearings to the drive housing, the lower ends of the rods being hinged to fish plates connected to bearings arranged stationarily at floor-level, and to a push-pull rod connecting the fish plates to one another. The fish plates are arranged to run in their normal positions obliquely upwards from the stationary bearings, and the push-pull rod runs at a level between the stationary bearings and the drive housing bearings. The support is thereby arranged above floor level, so as to improve the accessibility, assembling, dismantling and inspection of the device.</p> |
