A device for receiving elongate tubes which are combined to form a package for the purpose of transportation and storage, consisting of two receiving block parts which are disposed one on the other and each have a support part on their outer surfaces facing away from one another, the support parts and the receiving block parts located between them being held together by a strap or similar fixing means surrounding the support parts. Each receiving block part consists of two sections, one of which has the cutouts and the other the outer part, the former preferably consisting of hard polyurethane and the latter of a veneered panel.
