The invention relates to a refrigerating aggregate for adapting the capacity of cold water aggregates to the heat generation of objects to be cooled at constant wild-water forward-run temperature. This capacity adaptation is in this case to be achieved with low outlay. The invention envisages to this end that the cooling system is dimensioned in such a manner that the cooling capacity exceeds under all operating conditions the heat capacity to be carried off to the consumer (7). The difference between cooling capacity and heat capacity is equalised via a heat exchanger (8). For controlling the temperature in the cooling-water circuit (1), a control device (9) is provided. <IMAGE>
