PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of printing quality due to irregular hitting by sending a specified amount of printing paper and pushing a printing head to a position different from the position before a power source is turned ON, when the power source is turned ON or printing is restarted after a long halt. CONSTITUTION:Printing data PD which are sequentially inputted are stored in a data buffer 6 once and transferred to a printing control circuit 17 and to a decoder 18 simultaneously. The decoder 18 sets a timer 19 when the printing data are not inputted, and resets the timer 19 when the printing data are inputted. The printing data are outputted from a data buffer 16 when a specified time has elapsed after the set of the timer 19. Then, an output is generated from an AND circuit 21 and inputted to a paper feeding control circuit through an OR circuit 22. The paper feeding control circuit rotates a platen 6 by one line feed based on the output from the AND circuit 21 or a power source turning ON signal PON, and moves a part 1a which has been pushed by a printing head 1 until that time. |
