PURPOSE:To surely perform an automatic start of an engine, by automatically starting the engine with a starter while automatically flowing an electric conduction current in a starter circuit with the lapse of a prescribed time immediately after a cut of electric conduction to the starter circuit at failure of starting. CONSTITUTION:If a movable contact 13a of an ignition switch 13 is successively connected to fixed terminals 13b, 13c, an engine is started by a starter 11, and high voltage is generated by a regulator relay 15 under control of an alternator 14. If a start of the engine is detected, a starter relay 32 is deexcited to stop the starter 11, when the start is failed, the starter 11 is operated again with the lapse of a prescribed time. Then an automobile is driven, if stopped by waiting of a signal and/or a jam, a normally closed contact 34b of an ignition relay 34 is opened by a microcomputer 20 in accordance with outputs from a speed sensor 16, clutch switches 18a, 18b, etc., and the engine is stopped. |
