PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording head equivalent to an array of multielement magnetic heads, by providing reed screen type electrodes on the surface of a substrate of a piezoelectric material at one end, and adhering a thin magnetic film to the surface of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A striplike thin magnetic film 8 of a ferromagnetic material is adhered to one surface of a nonmagnetic substrate 7 with piezoelectricity; the lengthwise direction of said thin film is set in parallel with a magnetic recording medium surface 51, and the widthwise direction is set nearly perpendicular to the surface 51. Then, reed screen type electrodes 11 and 12 are provided at one lengthwise end 9 of the nonmagnetic substrate 7, and an impulse wave canceling or absorbing element 14 is arranged at the other end 13. Those reed screen type electrodes 11 are arranged at equal intervals while adjacent electrodes are separated electrically; electrodes having the same potentials are coupled and an isolated wave pulse is applied between adjacent electrodes. As a recording means of recording a signal on a recording medium 5, an auxiliary magnetic pole 15 having signal winding 16 is provided on the opposite side to said thin film 8. |
