The double-glazing assembly comprises a pane of glass (6) contained in a frame (5) the edge of which locates around or into the opening for the existing window. The circumference of the frame (5) incorporates a seal containing a channel (13) which prevents draughts reaching the interior of the building. The frame can be mounted in a fixed manner to the existing window frame (9) or may be hinged along one edge. The frame (5) pref. carries a strip of bristles (12) on its circumference which allows the passage of small amounts of air to prevent condensation.
