PURPOSE:To manufacture a pipe of small heat distortion and high wear resistance by introducing light to the face of spiral groove inside of a pipe hardened from outside and making hardening of the surface of the groove along the spiral rapidly. CONSTITUTION:Laser light 4 from a laser oscillator 3 is reflected in the direction of the center line of a pipe 1 changing its direction by a reflecting mirror 6 supposed by a frame 5. Then, the light is converged by a converging mirror 7 and projected on a spiral groove 2 inside of a pipe 1 to perform hardening process. The converging mirror 7 is rotated by a rotating device 9 and the rotating device 9 advances guiding the groove 2 to be hardened. The reflecting mirror 6 is also connected with the rotating device 9 to enable continuous hardening. A DC motor is used to rotate the rotating device 9. A controlling device 10 controls position setting of a converging mirror moving device 8, movement of the rotating device 9, ON-OFF and generating time of the laser light etc. |
