PURPOSE:To prevent the staining, color mixing, etc., of a background part, by providing a bias roll for attracting toner which does not contribute to development near a developing roll 3, and scraping the attracted toner with a blade and discharging it out of a machine. CONSTITUTION:A bias roll 6 applied with a DC bias voltage V2 to attract only toner 5c having the opposite polarity to toner 5b used for the development of a photoreceptor 1 is arranged under a developing roll 3. The toner 5c attracted to the bias roll 6 is scraped off with a metallic blade 7 and then discharged out of a main frame 1 by a conveying means 8 to be recovered. Thus, the staining, color mixing of two colors, etc., of a background part are prevented. |
