<p>A pointer thermometer for reading at a distance is such that the pointer moves over a circular scale, the width of the pointer being between one sixth and one half the length of the sector of the scale, and the pointer and scale being of contrasting colours. In an embodiment the housing (1) is rectangular, white and transparent to create a dial (2) at the front face. A circular temperature scale (5) is provided with eight marked values (6). The broad pointer (7) is wedge-shaped and carries a smaller pointer (8) for finer readings. By this means a tenth of a degree is easy to read.</p> |
