Damp proof masonry wall inside insulation - has panels with spacer lugs providing ventilation link to outlet passages

The process is designed to provide an effective insulation on the inside of masonry walls, esp. foundation walls. The material used is particularly damp and moisture resistant. For this purpose panels (1), with spacer lugs (1) on them, are applied to the inside of the walls (2) in such a way that air outlet passages (11) are formed between the walls and the panels. These passages are sited at floor (10) and ceiling (9) level in open connection with the interior air. One or more covering layers are finally applied to the side of the panels facing inwards, pref. a layer of extruded metal (3) with decorative mortar plaster (4) added. At floor and ceiling there may be shaped battens (5) to support the panels and covering layers (3, 4). These battens are box-shaped with apertures (7, 7') for the circulating air.
