摘要 PURPOSE:To maintain the tightening pressure of a fuel cell constant without using any spring, and reduce the number of the parts of the fuel cell by making the expansion degrees in the axial direction of a battery body and a fastening rod almost the same by preparing the fastening rod from a material which has almost the same linear expansion coefficient of the axial direction as that of a material used for the battery body. CONSTITUTION:A bolt used to fasten a battery body is prepared from a material having the same thermal expansion as the battery body. Since the material of a fuel- cell body principally consists of carbon, the degrees of the expansions of the fuel-cell body and a bolt used to fasten the fuel-cell body become equal by preparing the bolt from carbon. When a molded bolt such as a fastening rod 15, which is prepared by arranging carbon fibers 14 in lobing form, is used, the degree of the expansion in the axial direction of the bolt is determined by the linear expansion coefficient (alpha) of the carbon fibers 14. When the linear expansion coefficients of the fuel-cell body and the molded bolt in which carbon fibers are arranged in lobing form are supposed to be (alphaA) and (alphaB), the degrees of the expansions of the fuel-cell body and the fastening bolt become almost equal since (alphaA) almost equals (alphaB). As a result, any spring or the like which absorbs expansion, such as a coil spring, becomes unnecessary.
