PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable image pickup tube by connecting a cold- seal indium to a NESA electrode, which principally consists of indium oxide and is provided on the inner wall of a valve. CONSTITUTION:In the figure, the symbol 12 represents a mesh electrode; the symbol 13, a mesh-electrode fixture; the symbol 14, a NESA electrode which principally consists of indium oxide and is provided on a part of the inner wall of a valve 6 which is located between the mesh electrode 12 and a target electrode 4. The NESA electrode 14 is connected to a NESA-electrode contact part 15 which works to conduct the electrode 14 with the above mesh-electrode fixture 13. In addition, the NESA electrode 14 is made in contact with a cold-seal indium 5 provided on the end surface of the valve 6 and electrically connected to the indium 5. Therefore, voltage applied to a ring terminal 8 is made to pass through the indium 5, the electrode 14, the NESA electrode contact part 15 and the mesh-electrode fixture 13, and is applied to the mesh electrode 12 (a mesh 11). |
