PURPOSE:To unnecessitate any timing signal detector and make small a printer, by a method wherein a reset signal for starting printing is processed by a controlling circuit to produce a timing signal for determining the timing of printing. CONSTITUTION:When a signal is impressed on a coil 13, an iron core 11 is attracted and oscillatable member 7, 7' are oscillated with pins 10, 10' as centers, respectively, so that a carriage 6 is moved. When the impressing of the signal on the coil 13 is cleared, the core 11 is returned in the direction opposite to the direction of an arrow A by a spring 14. When the impressing of the signal on the coil 13 is turned ON and OFF in synchronism with the natural vibration of a vibration system consisting of the members 7, 7', the carriage 6, the core 11 and the springs 14, 14', the carriage 6 can be resonantly oscillated with extremely little energy. Concurrently with the vibration of the member 7, a recording paper 17 is moved in the direction of an arrow C by a paper feed mechanism. |
