PURPOSE:To reduce material costs and decrease the amount of dust attachment, by forming the resistor body made of nickel or nickel alloy on the surface of a cylindrical ceramic substrate, providing electrodes and leads on both ends of the substrate, and forming a protecting film of inorganic glass on the surface of the heat sensitive resistor body. CONSTITUTION:On the substrate 9, wherein Al2O3 is sintered with SiO2 and MgO as a sintering assistant, a lead electrode 11 made of 18-8 stainless steel is brazed. Then, nickel resistor wire 8 is wound and spot-welded, glass is applied and burned, and the temperature sensitive resistor body is formed. For example, When the air quantity for an automobile engine is detected, nickel is used as the temperature sensitive resistor material instead of platinum because the temperature difference between the intake air temperature and the temperature sensitive body is about 100-190 deg.C. Therefore the material costs are reduced. Since the glass protecting film is provided, the amount of the dust attachment is decreased, and the stable characteristics are secured. |
