PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition containing a specific monoazo dye as a recording agent, and capable of recording a high-quality image having excellent color tone stably for a long time without causing the clogging of nozzle and filter. CONSTITUTION:The objective ink composition contains (A) a recording agent of formulaI(A is phenyl substituted with 1 or 2 amino, carboxy, sulfon or hydroxy groups; R1 and R2 are H, methyl, or ethyl) (e.g. dye of formula II, formula III, etc.), (B) a solvent (e.g. cyclohexane, ethanol, etc.), and (C) a thickener (e.g. vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, shellac resin, etc.), etc. EFFECT:It has high adhesivity even to a non-water-absorbing recording material such as metal, rubber, glass, plastics, etc. and gives printed images having excellent color tone. |
