The vehicle trailer coupling consists of a carrier bar (1) which can be round or square and fits across the rear of the vehicle. The coupling ball (3) is fixed on the end of a coupling bar (2). The coupling bar (2) is bolted between two plates (4) in which are cut outs to fit on to one carrier bar (1) where it is welded in place. The plates (4) can be provided with two or three sets of bolt holes (5) to allow the height of the coupling to be adjustable. This provides a coupling which is simple to produce to fit any type of motor car and is simple to adjust.
