ELECTRONICALLY TUNABLE RECEIVER

An electronically tunable radio receiver has a common actuator (3) for both controlling the speed at which a local oscillator frequency is varied and selecting between DX and LOCAL receiver modes. Preferably a digital oscillator (10) has an output which determines the speed at which the local oscillation frequency is swept. An oscillation frequency controlling element (7b) which forms an external oscillation frequency control section of the digital oscillator (10) and a circuit constant variable upon variations in its working length, is mounted around the shaft (4) of an operator-operable knob (3) on the operational panel (1) of the radio receiver in the path of a sweep speed controlling element (5) mounted coaxially thereto. The sweep speed controlling element (5) and the oscillation frequency controlling element (7b) are connected to an input section of the digital oscillator (10). There is further provided a DX/LOCAL receiver mode selecting element (6) mounted coaxially on the knob shaft (4).
