A description is given of a covering profile which is releasably connected to a base part; this is used for fastening on part of a structure. In the base part there is mounted a slide which, under the tensile stress of a spring, can be displaced out of the base part such that the base part and the slide brace the covering profile with the aid of residual pretensioning in the spring.
