PURPOSE:To rationalize the manufacturing process of a sun visor and heighten the effect of its design, by molding a pair of thermoplastic board materials and a frame between them, fuse-bonding the materials and the frame to each other and making protruded and recessed patterns on the surfaces of the board materials. CONSTITUTION:The tops and bottoms H1-H4 of an upper and a lower board materials 10a, 10b are molten by a heater 7. A frame 11, which functions as the reinforcing core of a sun visor, is put on the lower board material 10b. A ram 3 is moved down so that the board materials 10a, 10b containing the frame 11 are heated and pressed by an upper and a lower dies 5, 1 and the mutually facing surface layers H2, H3 of the board materials are fuse-bonded to each other, thereby manufacturing the sun visor. At that time, dense hardened layers K resulting from the deformation of foamed structure are made on the top and bottom H1, H4 of the upper and the lower materials 10a, 10b by the protruded and recessed surfaces R1, R2 of the upper and the lower dies 5, 1, which also provide the hardened layers with protruded and recessed pattern surfaces 0 corresponding to those R1, R2 of the dies. |
