PURPOSE:To perform the application of an offset preventing liquid on a roller over a long period of time by so arranging that the offset-preventing liquid coating on the roller is wated with a high polymer synthetic resin film having fine open cells to regulate the coating of the offset preventing liquid and that the stretching direction of the film and the revolving direction of the roller are matched at the contact part of both. CONSTITUTION:A fixing roller 1 comprises applying coating 3 of offset-preventing material on a hollow metal pipe 2 and is built in with a heater 4. A press roller 5 is applied with the coating 7 of offset-preventive soft elastic material on a core metal 6. The rollers 1, 5 are held press-contacted and the other roller is driven by the drive of the one roller. When paper P is fed, the toners T are press-contacted by pressure and heat. A film 11 of non-fibrous material having fine open cells makes contact with the roller 1 and silicone oil is coated extremely little by little from felt 13 to the roller 1. since the stretching direction of the film 11 is matched to the revolving direction of the roller 1, adequate amount of the oil is always evenly coated on the roller 1. |
