PURPOSE:To regenerate a cation exchange resin while the contamination of said resin and the generation of a precipitate are prevented, by passing a regenerating agent containing spent sodium sulfate from a waste gas desulfurizing apparatus and a water soluble low moleclar polymer through the cation exchange resin. CONSTITUTION:In regeneate a soften cation exchage resin, water soluble spent sodium sulfate discharged from a waste gas desulfurizing apparatus is used as a regenerating agent along with a low molecular such as polycarboxylic acid or polysulfonic acid. By this method, the cation exchange resin can be regenerated inexpensively while the contamination of the resin and the generation of a precipitate are prevented. |
