The head fitting combines the functions of stoppe and dispenser, being for use on tubes (3), of which the contents are ejected by the application of pressure. The top of the tube incorporates a cylindrical upstand (5) extended by a conical nose (9) of a lesser base dia. meter the intervening flat shoulder (6) having dispensing apertures (8). The stopper screws onto the upstand and is shaped internally to complement the form of the upstand with the nose. It provides an outlet (17) at the cone tip, and is screwed either way to vary the rate of discharge. The diameter of the shoulder is less than that of the upstand and the components have stop ribs (21,22) setting maximum discharge, the change in the diameter being accommodated by a double shoulde (7), whilst a stopper groove (19) located the upstand stop (21). |
