PURPOSE:To obtain an electronic watch which is capable of correction of both the hour and minute hands in a short time, by driving the second hand wheel with a unidirectional turn of a step motor and then driving the minute and hour hand wheels with the turn of the step motor in the other direction. CONSTITUTION:When the alternate signals are applied to a coil 2 every second, a rotor 4 turns every step to turn a second hand wheel via the next stage wheel 5, the 1st clutch wheel 6 and an idler wheel 7. In this case, a minute hand wheel 12 is prevened for its reverse by a reverse preventing spring 15, and accordingly a clutch pawl 11d of the 2nd clutch wheel 11 slides on the tooth face of a ratchet wheel 11b. Thus no rotary foace is transmitted to a pinion 11a, and as a result the wheel 12 and an hour hand wheel 16 have no turn. When 30 seconds elapses, a reverse driving signal is applied to the coil 2. Thus the rotor 4 has a reverse 4a, and the wheels 12 and 16 are turned via the wheels 5 and 11. In this case, the reverse of the wheel 8 is prevented by a reverse preventing spring 10, and the wheel 8 have no turn. Only the reverse driving signal is applied when the minute and hour hands are corrected. |
