A device for use as a distance element between two plates (1) or similar designed for placement between two plates (1) leaf elements (2), which are put together with each other so that the device from a compressed form with the leaf element (2) lies essentially parallel and can be expanded against each other so that the leaf element forms cells between each other (3).
