PURPOSE:To obtain a hydrocarbon, particularly a gasoline fraction, by bringing a synthetic gas into contact with a crystalline silicate consisting of a compound of one or more elements selected from hydrogen and alkali (earth) metals, Ru compound, Al compound, and Si compound as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic gas is brought into contact with a crystalline sililicate, consisting of (A) a compound of one or more elements selected from hydrogen, alkali metals and alkaline earth metals, e.g. NaOH, (B) an Ru compound, (C) an Al compound and (D) an Si compound, and having the composition in the form of an oxide expressed by the formula[M is an element selected from H and alkali (earth) metals; n is the valence of M; 0<p<=1; 0.001<=q<0.1; 0<r<0.1]as a catalyst to prepare a liquid hydrocarbon, particularly a gasoline fraction. The contact conditions are as follows: 270-330 deg.C, 30-100kg/cm<2>.G and 1,000-5,000hr<-1> GHSV. EFFECT:Gasoline of high octane number can be prepared easily in one stage according to the conditions. |
