PURPOSE:To reduce the number of amplifiers thereby compactize the device by driving the ink droplet elements of nozzles arranged in lines and rows according to a combination of the output signal from the amplifier common to each group of lines with that from the amplifier common to each group of rows. CONSTITUTION:To let ink droplet to be injected from an arbitrary nozzle of a color inkjet printer, each electrode of the corresponding piezoelectric element shoud receive the voltages holding the mutual relationship given by the equationsI, II, III (where Vg is picture signal voltage, Vth droplet threshold voltage and Vc color signal). The piezoelectric element supplied with these voltages having the said relation is displaced to allow the corresponding to inject ink droplet against a recording paper. With these piezoelectric elements supplied with picture signals, cyan, magenta, yellow and black droplets are injected from the nozzles to set colors on the recording paper. |
