PURPOSE:To discriminate a faulty area with high accuracy, by constituting to realize a folding test system based on the test data given from both the using and spare switch modules and obtaining various kinds of fault information. CONSTITUTION:The test data which is fed from a using switch module SM0 through a descending highway BW-HW00 is folded at an interface common part SHC0 to both an ascending highway FW-HW00 leading to SM0 and a spare module SM1 and a highway FW-HW10. Then the nomalcy is detected for both routes. In case a fault is detected in either one of these two routes, the test data is fed through a descending highway BW-HW10 leading from the module SM1 without switching the module SM1 to SM0. In the same way, the test data is folded to the highways FW-HW00 and FW-HW10 leading to the modules SM0 and SM1 respectively to detect the normalcy of each route as well as to discriminate the faulty area through a processor MPR. |
