PURPOSE:To attain accurate program search even at an arbitrary tape position, that is, stop cueing, by obtaining a tape reproducing signal corresponding the tape position, even at the tape run at any speed for both forward and reverse direction manually. CONSTITUTION:When a PCM recorder is in reproducing state, a storage device 4 writes a tape reproducing signal B in the recorder in response to an address signal F from a tape position counter 8. After the end of write, the PCM recorder is at stop mode, a reel 9 is manually rotated and a magnetic tape 1 is made run, then the address signal F which is an output of the tape position counter 8 is made to change according to the running position of the magnetic tape 1, the content of storage 4 is read out to output a reproducing signal G. When this signal G is D/A-converted, amplified and monitored on a apeaker, the content of the PCM music signal on the magnetic tape is known and the desired tape position can accurately be searched. |
