PURPOSE:To obtain a device which has been constituted so as to store the respective necessary microprograms in plural input/output controllers, by deciding a kind of a microprogram required for the input/output controller when an electric power supply has been turned on, or the like. CONSTITUTION:When an electric power supply has been turned on, a kind of a microprogram required for an input/output controller is decided so that a position on a medium storing its microprogram is informed to a microprogram loader. For instance, immediately after the electric power supply has been turned on, in accordance with an initial diagnostic program stored in each control memory CS4 of input/output devices IOC#1, IOC#2, a kind of a microprogram required for each IOC is decided, and its contents and a position where the program is stored are informed to the microprogram loader 1. Subsequently, when a program required for the IOC which has selected the loader 1 at first is stored in the control memory CS4, the other IOC executes the same processing when the loader 1 is not busy. |
