PURPOSE:To maintain a complete combustion state by applying an electric current to the burner through a flame during combustion and increasing or decreasing the combustion air quantity and the fuel supply quantity so that the electric current becomes constantly maximum. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined potential difference is produced at a frame rod 5 and a combustion port 4 which constitute a pair of electrodes, and the current flowing therebetween is measured by a flame (a). A control circuit 7 receives a signal from a current measuring circuit 6, and a combustion air quantity control circuit 8 or a fuel supply quantity control circuit 9 is controlled so that the current measured by the current measuring becomes maximum. The control circuit 8 increases or decreases the rotational speed of a blower 3, and the control circuit 9 increases or decreases the fuel supply quantity of a fuel supply pump 2. The control due to the control circuit 7 is carried out by controlling in priority either the control circuit 8 or the control circuit 9 or both circuits at the same time. As a result, the burner is properly controlled so that the temperature of the flame reaches a heighest value thereby to make it possible to maintain the complete combustion state, to prevent smoke and malodor from generating and to improve the combustion efficiency. |
