PURPOSE:To improve reduction effect of a radiation sound while an increase in weight and deterioration in adjusting performance are being controlled, by welding partly a damping component made of thin steel plate formed in an identical shape with the whole or a part of the inside or the outside of a cast-iron case on the inside or the outside of the case. CONSTITUTION:Damping components 21, 22 made of a press-molded thin steel plate into about an identical shape with the inside of a cast-iron case is connected with the inside of a cast-iron case, for example, a cast-iron speed change gear case 1 through welding parts 211a, 221a by making welding parts 211a, 221a and nonwelding parts 211b, 221b distribute on the surface of the damping components 21, 22. With this construction, a radiation sound to be generated when the speed change gear case 1 is operated as a speed change gear by incorporating gears in the inside of the case 1 can be reduced markedly through friction damping effect to be generated between the inside of the case 1 and the nonwelding part of the damping components 21, 22. |
