The inventive principle of this stepping motor (special electric motor whose rotor rotates onwards in steps) is that the pole sets are arranged in three parallel planes and that the stepping angle is 60 DEG . In the case of this stepping motor, the poles are also dimensioned such that they are superimposed by a small amount in the starting position in order that this stepping motor also develops sufficient torque at the start of each angle step. The rotor pole 31 (Figure 3) is just located in the starting position. The rotor pole 32 (Figure 4) is located in its starting position after onward rotation of the rotor through 60 DEG in the arrow direction m. The rotor pole 33 (Figure 5) is located in its starting position after onward rotation of the rotor through 120 DEG in the arrow direction m.
