The fixing consists of a plastics plug (3) having a split skirt (8) with exterior serrations (5,6). The plug has a cylindrical extension (10). The width of the slot (9) in the skirt is equal to the tapping diameter of the fixing screw (4). The skirt of the plug is pressed into a hole (12) in one component (1), leaving the guide section (10) protruding. The counter stored hole in the second component is introduced over the guide section and centralised over the plug. The fixing screw (4), when screwed into the plug, expands the latter in the hole.
