The piston consists of a first piston part, having at least one step, and a second piston part. Provided in the first piston part is an axially extending recess which serves to accommodate a piston rod. Together with an all-round groove machined into the piston rod, an all-round bead in the recess forms a snap-in connection between the first piston part and the piston rod. In order to facilitate the snap-in process, slots extending parallel to the piston rod are provided in the stepped region of the first piston part. An axially extending recess in the second piston part has a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the step of the second piston part and a thread is provided on the circumference of the step of the first piston part. Once the first piston part has been snapped onto the piston rod, the second piston part is screwed onto the step of the first piston part, thus preventing unintentional release of the snap connection between the first piston part and the piston rod. The gap formed between the two piston parts by the step serves to accommodate a sealing ring. |
