The fitting comprises two jaws (1, 8) accommodating the building elements (12, 13), and a sliding part (5) which has a threaded bore (6) and can be connected by means of a screw (11) to one jaw (8). The other jaw (1) has two ribs (2, 2'), which form a channel (3). A wedge- shaped longitudinal groove (4, 4') is present at each of the rib ends. The cuboid sliding part (5), which can be inserted into the channel (3), is provided with wedge-shaped projections (7, 7') engaging in the longitudinal grooves (4, 4'). When the screw (11) is tightened, these projections (7, 7') draw the limbs of the second jaw (1) against the building elements, e.g. walls (12, 13), to be clamped. (Figure 1) <IMAGE> |
